EMDR Intensive Therapy
With EMDR intensive therapy we spend about six hours in one week together with minimal time lost in transition. With an EMDR Intensive, you’re prepared for a week to yourself. You have taken time off work, you have prepared your family, and you have prepared yourself, so you are ready to focus several days to your treatment.

Is EMDR Intensive right for me?
EMDR intensive might be right for you when you:
-
You are highly motivated to address a specific issue
-
You do not need regular therapy sessions or already have a regular therapist
-
You are able to notice and tolerate emotions and sensations during therapy sessions

EMDR intensives might not be the right fit for you when you:
-
You are seeking counselling
-
You need and do not have access to an ongoing therapist
-
Have difficulties such as suicidality, self-harm, dissociation, that require more time for stabilisation
-
You do not have a supportive network available to you
-
You are received regular treatment from a Psychiatrist
EMDR intensives can assist you with:
-
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-
Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Phobia's
-
Acute Stress Disorder
-
Recent traumatic events including; medical interventions, accidents and natural disasters
How will I start the process?
Firstly, you can book a 90 - minute consultation call to prepare you for your EMDR intensive work.
After you have completed the necessary paperwork, your therapist will send you an information booklet for you to read and complete prior to your intensive. The pre-work is designed to build resources and insight to help you achieve your goals during the intensive.
What will my week look like?
You will have 3 days of 2 hours therapy in one week
-
This will be tailored, an example is: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Intensive therapy has the benefit of fast integration with soothing and coping resources that are suitable for you. Due to the intensity of the therapy it is highly preferable you do not have commitments such as work, school pick ups or dinner preparation, to name a few.
Days without therapy will have to include mandatory activities (not included in the price). It is important to plan activities during the time outside of therapy such as:
-
sport activity: swimming, running, tennis etc.
-
creative activities: painting, crochet, pottery etc.
-
yoga in a yoga studio
-
snorkel or dive the Great Barrier Reef
-
use of meditation apps you are familiar with
-
walks in nature
-
nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What is my investment?

Total investment is $2,000, included in this is:
-
One 90 minute consultation pre-consultation interview (online available) to assess for candidacy, gain insight, and identify obstacles. We will also target unpleasant beliefs, body sensations, emotions, or images from which you are seeking relief.
