Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Manon is an accredited EMDR therapist with EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of our core therapeutic approaches. EMDR is an effective psychotherapeutic method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages people to focus briefly on their traumatic memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.
Parenting training
Parents are often challenged by understanding the needs of their children. At FNQ Family Therapy we facilitates parenting training such as Circle of Security & 1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching. These programs aim to understand the emotional needs of your child, enhances the relationship with your child and supports the ability for a child to manage their emotions to build self -esteem.
Professional Supervision for Mental Health professionals
​​Manon is an accredited Professional Supervisor by the Australia Counselling Association (ACA), and is a member of the Supervision College with ACA.
